Our Love Story
Mawlana Rumi wrote,
“Lovers don’t finally meet somewhere,
They’re in each other all along.”
Perhaps that was us,
two souls crossing paths too young to understand,
then drifting,
I stayed in Pagar Alam, he went to Lahat.
Later, we wandered farther,
Bandung and Palembang.
Still, the Divine pulled us close.
In February 2020,
what was written in the stars finally unfolded.
Love found its way back to us,
quiet, steady, and true.
Distance shaped us,
but never broke us.
Now, no more waiting,
no more miles,
just one journey,
together,
for life.
